About

Coming from a small town in Pennsylvania, childhood friends Lauren and Leyna went from telling ghost stories at slumber parties to starting Pass Me the Boos in order to satisfy their love for all things spooky and boozy. Pass Me the Boos is a paranormal podcast that explores both the history and hauntings of strange happenings near and far. Join them each week as they discuss their personal theories and experiences all while taking part in an adult-themed BOO-verage of the week!

When she wasn't watching Ghost Hunters or searching for the latest true crime documentary, Lauren spent a good portion of her early years drawing, painting, or finding whatever creative outlet would scratch that artistic itch. Growing up on a diet of cartoons and The Legend of Zelda, she found herself on the path to art school studying animation and game design. During her time as an animator she's worked on animated projects for entertainers like Broad City's Ilana Glazer and former Ru Paul contestants, Bob the Drag Queen and Peppermint.

When Lauren isn't telling Leyna all about the paranormal, they're usually found at home tending to their garden, doting over their dogs, or exploring Hyrule in any Zelda game.

Apart from co-running a podcast, their hope is to one day work on a project for either of their long time favorite studios, Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network, whichever comes first.

Ever the lover of all things spooky and historical, Leyna started her adventure into the past when working on her BA in Anthropology/Archaeology after going to archaeology camp every summer as a kid. While in her undergrad, Leyna volunteered all her time to Student Leadership and Involvement and Res Life.

After falling in love with supporting students in higher ed, she pursued her MA in Higher Education/Student Affairs to continue to help holistically develop students (while sharing a ghost story or two). Currently, Leyna works in Residence Life as an Area Coordinator while dedicating her free time to historical research for PMTB.

When not messaging Lauren a new drink recipe to test out, Leyna can be found getting lost in the local historic district, cooking Sunday family dinners for loved ones, and daydreaming about returning to her Starshines.

Dreams of podcast stardom aside, Leyna hopes to continue working in Higher Ed to make a positive impact on students. She is especially dedicated to the advocacy of Title IX and ensuring equitable access to education for all.
